Inspiration from Elephants

Like so many, I am completely mesmerized by elephants. My blogging friend Sriram Janek captures their essence in his photography with breath-taking talent. I recommend clicking the link to visit his site and join me in being swept away by the power and beauty of these magnificent animals (and others) that he so artistically captures.

Until you visit Sriram’s site for extraordinary ventures through the lens into the world of wild elephants, here’s a collection I’ve gathered. These photographs warm my heart and I hope they will for you too! In sharing our awe of the wisdom and majesty of elephants, we are all connected, no matter how near or far we live from them.

  1. I love these photos. I’ve been a vegetarian for a long time and don’t eat meat, poultry or fish. Instead, I share the earth with them. They’re all special beings, but elephants have a unique gentle quality that belies their size. Thanks so much for posting these great pics.

    1. Thanks so much for sharing this great comment. I agree with you: all animals are special but elephants do have an amazingly wise and powerful energy about them. I am utterly captivated by them. I’m so glad you enjoyed this post. Thanks again! Gina

    1. Well put. I have a quote by the back door of my house from the Tao of Pooh: “Lots of people talk to animals. Not very many listen though. That’s the problem.” Thanks for commenting!

  2. Loved that quote of Martin Luther King which really is at the core of the Homo Sapien belief about other denizens of the planet. It also does boil down to competing for the same resources and the need to get unfettered access. Keeping this aspect in mind, what is it that we could do build a more cohabitational belief within societies?

  4. I think my intuitiveness is becoming stronger because this is the second time this week that I thought of something and two seconds later it happens. I was reading your most recent post and didn’t scroll down. As I was reading, I thought of this video of elephants painting pictures for my blog and then I scroll down to see this post right underneath it! Interesting. Love elephants. Such gentle giants.

    1. This is exciting Jolyn! So good to recognize gifts in the moment as we hear those messages from our intuition. I am so glad your strengthening intuition helped you find my salute to the majesty of elephants. Thank you so much for commenting. 🙂 Big hugs, Gina
